With less than two months remaining until the highly anticipated heavyweight boxing match between Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou, the psychological warfare has already kicked off. The recent exchange of words between the two colossal fighters was initiated by Mike Tyson, who is coaching Ngannou for the bout. Tyson posted a video on Instagram showing Ngannou sparring in the gym, captioned, "We're just getting started @francis_ngannou, remember that." Not one to back down, Fury, known for his verbal jabs, quickly responded, "Everyone has a plan until... these Lancaster Bombers hit you square in the face come fight night."

Fury's Second Fight Since His Brief Retirement

As revealed in his new Netflix series, Tyson Fury's retirement was short-lived. He announced his departure from boxing and subsequently gave up his Ring title on August 12, 2022. However, his comeback was confirmed a few months later on October 20, 2022, when it was announced he would face Derek Chisora at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in December.

Ngannou's Transition to Boxing

After failing to negotiate a new contract in January 2023, Ngannou switched gears and entered the boxing ring, joining the Professional Fighters League's pay-per-view 'super fight' division just last year. His upcoming fight against Fury, scheduled for October 28 in Saudi Arabia, will be a significant challenge for the former UFC star. Fury boasts an impressive record of 33 wins, zero losses, and one draw from 34 career fights.
